The London Ambulance Service has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individual to join the team of Emergency Planning Support Officer in the Resilience and Specalists Assets Department. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in the delivery of the Trust's EPRR and Business Continuity arrangements.

This role will support the Resilience and Specalists Assets Department and will undertake a portfolio responsibility in one of the following three areas:
  • Training and Exercising
  • Compliance and Assurance
  • Lessons Identified and Incident Learning and Development

  • The Post holder will have access to appropriate training to enhance their current skills as well as develop their expertise in this specialist area of practice.

    Main duties of the job

    Reporting to the Head of Transformation and Engagement, the Emergency Planning Support Officer will provide support to the EPRR Team

    Support the delivery for a continued state of preparedness of the Trust in its ability to respond to any significant or major incident both planned ensuring that where practical, measures are in place to maintain continuity of its core business

    Build and maintain effective partnerships with other healthcare professionals, local authorities, other emergency services, the military, government agencies and the private sector

    Support the design development and delivery of specialist training and exercise programmes

    Plan and organise a wide range of on-going complex activities and programmes in line with EPRR objectives

    Maintain a focus on continuous improvement through the development, delivering and reporting of feedback, audit and debrief processes

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Master's Degree level education or equivalent experience
    • Strong evidence of personal development
    • The ability to achieve the appropriate security clearance (SC)


    Experience

    • Experience of working across organisational boundaries and developing multi-disciplinary professional partnerships
    • Experience of managing performance to specified standards
    • Experience of managing performance to specified standards
    • Working with complex sets of data


    Desirable

    • Working with senior managers in pressured situations
