An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Facilities Services based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital, working within Stacked at the Royal as a Catering Team Member, this role involves working 20 hours per week on a varied shift pattern from 8am until 3pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Catering Team Member you will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service within our Stacked outlet where we provide a deli style service. You'll join a team that takes a real pride in what they do, takes pride in their food and most of all, join a company that takes pride in its people.

Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient and friendly catering service to a range of customers whilst ensuring queuing levels are kept to a minimum.

To be familiar with the service that Stacked@theRoyal provides so that relevant offers and deals can be suggested to customers.

To be responsible for accepting payment and giving change to customers byoperating a cash till and managing the online App service Stacked provides.

To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times.Responsible for the security and cleanliness of all catering equipment and ensure hygiene compliance.

Responsible for accurately completing all relevant documentation to ensure HACAP procedures for temperature control on hot and cold food, ensuring Trust procedures for wastage and cleaning schedules are followed.Report any breakages, defects, loss or malfunctions of any equipment immediately to the supervisor or manager.

To undertake any other duties as may be required in line with the generalresponsibilities outlined in this job description. This may include occasional cover to other catering outlets.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willing to undertake
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or equivalent experience (to include Maths and English)

  • Good knowledge of Food safety
  • Advanced Food
  • Hygiene certificate
  • Health and Safety Level 1


Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a similar position where there are peaks and troughs in demand during service times
