Head of Employee Relations Band 8b
The last 24 months has been tough for everyone across the NHS. Putting the people who work for Croydon Health Services into the front and centre of all of our current and future activities that will support us on our road to recovery is critical. These aspirations have seen us develop an ambitious but exciting people plan for the Trust to continue to focus on throughout 2023-2024 as a priority. Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the job
To help us with this journey we are looking for someone to join our expanding and developing HR and OD Directorate into this newly created role on a permanent basis whilst we continue to undergo a substantial journey to introduce a restorative just culture approach to employee relations.
Supporting our employees during difficult times in a compassionate way showing everyone the dignity and respect they deserve is important to us. We appreciate employee relations can be changing when individuals are faced with formal HR processes so we want to be able to think differently about the situations people face by embracing informal resolution and learning from errors putting those harmed by an incident at the heart of the solution. This will see us introduce more creative interventions and extensive support to managers to enable us to resolve mistakes and conflict quicker to support people to remain at work throughout.About us

Across the NHS everyone is working hard to meet growing demand and we're no exception. But with the right people on board, we are rising to this challenge, putting our people in the driving seat, encouraging innovation and transforming our services to give local people the quality of care they deserve. Croydon Health Services puts a great deal of importance on education and training throughout the careers of all of our staff. As well as offering access to a range of core skills training and professional development.Job descriptionJob responsibilities
