Due to retirement of the current Ward Manager we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Ward Manager for Ward 16. You will be forward thinking and dynamic with a positive outlook that aligns to the trusts visions and values of kindness, courage and respect.
Ward 16 is a 23 medical bedded unit with a focus on caring for Elderly Patients, caring for patients with multiple medical problems, are a diverse team whom are motivated to provide excellent patient centered care.' and is a great opportunity to develop your skills.
The applicant should be a senior nurse with previous management experience of successful leading change and be able to drive forward the skills of the established team within the new unit.
You must demonstrate excellent communicate skills, initiate drive and have the ability to lead a nursing team.
This will be an exciting time for the right candidate as the department has recently undergone a succession of specialty changes. Therefore, the team will require a strong leader that can provide clear direction and support.
Main duties of the job
As ward leader you need to display the Trusts values of kindness courage and respect, promoting a positive attitude at all times . You require excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team and ensure high standards of care . Duties include workforce management , effective rostering, undertaking clinical audit, staff performance and wellbeing management, training and development, stock ordering, incident investigation and promoting evidence based care.
