Cornwall Partnership is fully committed to the education and development of our Preceptees to enhance the delivery of high quality care across our organisation. The Trust has an existing preceptorship programme that supports our newly qualified healthcare professionals.
To support this aim the Education and Training Department are looking to expand their team and recruit to the position of Practice Educator (Preceptorship). This post will provide support within our coordinated programme and be visible within clinical practice.
The role will involve working with the Lead Practice Educators, learning environments across CFT, partner organisations and higher education institutions to ensure the development of high quality learning environments. The post holder will work alongside other colleagues to support the delivery of our preceptorship programme.
The person we are looking for will have a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. You will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives leading to improved care. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development. This post will work across the county.

Main duties of the job
The primary purpose of the role is to provide support within an existing team who lead on the, education, training and support given to all preceptees across CFT. This includes The role also includes providing advice and guidance, quality assurance and the development and monitoring of supervision and assessment in practice in keeping with the standards and requirements of professional regulatory bodies.The role will be based within the Education and Training Department, working closely alongside an existing team responsible for service and staff development. A close working relationship with all partner Higher Education Institutes is also a key requirement of the role.

- Current professional registration with NMC/HCPC
- Professional Clinical qualification
- Educated to degree level in a health related field
- Substantial post qualifying clinical experience
- Post graduate teaching qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards
