Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist Band 7

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced gynaecology Nurse to join our busy Rapid access team. This role will help support the existing gynaecology CNS in maintaining quality and efficiency for patients referred on the 2ww cancer pathway in accordance with the national guidelines.

This post will help support the delivery of non-cancer and cancer diagnosis within the 28 -day time frame ensuring compliance with the Faster diagnosis target (FDS) and referral to treatment (RTT). You will undertake Nurse Led telephone clinics to discharge patients with benign diagnosis.

Your role will include being a keyworker for patients who are being investigated and diagnosed with gynaecological cancer , identifying any concerns using Holistic Needs Assessments (HNA's) and making the appropriate referral to other allied health professionals. Using your expertise to support patients during their inpatient stay and post discharge.

There will be an opportunity to undertake your level 2 psychology training and attend monthly supervision.

The post holder should be a highly motivated enthusiastic nurse passionate about giving high quality care who is equipped with excellent interpersonal skills.
