Continuity of Carer midwife for Lincoln Wold's Team.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to expand our team of midwives to support Our Wolds Continuity of Carer Team. We are looking for highly motivated, inspirational and innovative midwives who would like to join the Lincoln Wolds Continuity of Carer team . The Wolds team provide maternity care for women who live in Horncastle, Bardney, Wragy, Market Rasen, Spilsby, Coningsby, Tattersall and surrounding areas.
The Wolds midwifery team is a small, supportive friendly team and would welcome any new team member. This is a permanent position.
Currently the Continuity teams provide an on call rota to provide not only Intrapartum care to women on their caseload but also antenatal and postnatal care. On average this consists of 1 night call and 1 day call per week. Some weekend working is required. Continuity of Carer way of working has demonstrated a better work life balance for many midwives.
As part of the role you will not only be providing intrapartum to women in their homes but also on Labour ward at both our Boston and Lincoln sites

- RM with NMC.
- Degree/Diploma in Midwifery

- Recognised management qualification
Previous Experience

- All round midwifery experience including antenatal clinic, postnatal and intrapartum
- Evidence of Professional Development
- Participation in clinical audit and/or standard setting

- Lead and undertake clinical audits
Knowledge/skills/aptitudes

- Effective in communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in Child Protection
- Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework
