Are you a health care professional with proven abilities and experiences working within operating theatre services and leading a large team? Do you possess extensive post registration experience in scrub and/or anaesthetic or recovery and are an expert practitioner? Come and join our welcoming and friendly team as Theatre Services Manager within Manx Care on the beautiful Isle of Man! Our terms and conditions are not Agenda for Change however our pay bands equate to the UK NHS bands and have advantageous pay scales.
Main duties of the job
Theatre Services are comprised of Theatres, Endoscopy and Sterile Services and are predominantly focused on the provision of perioperative and post-operative care. As leader of a defined clinical area and an expert practitioner, you will have 24 hour continuous professional responsibility and be committed to the co-ordination and management of operational activity of Theatre Services. You will work in collaboration with the Clinical Services Group quadrumvirate and external services in the delivery and management of care that is safe, effective, caring, well-led, and responsive and meets its mandated key performance indicators for quality. You will provide clear leadership and ensure all staff are appropriately managed and that they are competent, efficient, effective, engaged and motivated. If you are a forward thinking and committed health care professional with experience in leading, motivating and encouraging a team to reach their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you!

- Being an active member of the hospital on call manager rota.
- Delivering patient care in the theatre complex, ensuring patient safety based on clinical-need and the staffing skill mix required on a daily basis.
- Demonstrating active risk management and ensuring reliable delivery of services in support of service plans.
- Leading the annual AfPP Accreditation and peer review program.
