ODN Senior Network Manager
Are you a self-starter, who loves working with multi-disciplinary teams to influence service and quality improvements in a fascinating area of the NHS? Can you lead by example, and see the strategic picture whilst working up the detailed mobilisation plans?
This secondment/fixed term post provides an excellent opportunity to work flexibly and build a network of relationships across the Midlands through the Operational Delivery Networks. The post holder will work across organisations and systems to become a collaborative ambassador and promote and embed a culture change of focusing on population health outcomes across the Midlands.
You will be part of a network hosting hub team, benefiting from peer to peer support and providing leadership to Operational Delivery Networks such as Neurosurgery, Lung Cancer and others. Working across the providers in the Midlands region and supporting the current NHS agenda in the region's recovery from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Main duties of the job
Clinical networks have long been a feature of the NHS and they have become critical in supporting innovation and system wide collaboration. Looking ahead they will be supported to drive clinically-led change and service improvement with even greater accountability for tackling inequalities and for improving population health.
The post holder will be responsible for directing and driving the activities of a number of Operational Delivery Networks (ODNs) in the Midlands region such as Neurosurgery, Lung Cancer and others.
As well as providing leadership to the ODN and their Network teams, you will be crucial in ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place to meet the requirements of the ODNs as determined by NHS England (NHSE) and the member Trusts from across the region.
Maintaining a focus on the deliverables and work programme of the ODNs, you will use a wide range of skills and experience in order to satisfy a complex and competing work agenda which fundamentally has improving services for our patients at its heart.
Excellent inter-personal skills are essential, as well as the ability to use data and intelligence to support change and illustrate performance. Experience of working with and influencing a range of healthcare stakeholders is also essential, as is a detailed understanding of the operational environment in which the region's services currently work.
About us
The role is based within the Partnerships and Integration Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, accountable to the Deputy Director of Integration. The post reports to the clinical leads for the networks. You will work in the supportive and friendly network hub team which provides peer support.
The post holder will predominately be home based and working in a virtual team but have a base at the City Campus in Nottingham, although multi-site working across the region may be required as the needs of the role demand.
This post is a 12 month secondment or fixed term post and applications from those seeking flexible working arrangements are welcomed.

This will be done through the effective engagement of participant members and member organisations and recognised key stakeholders, in alignment with relevant regional and national priorities and programmes of care.
