An exciting Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity has arisen in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for dynamic Respiratory Physiotherapists within Kent. We have a new post in the East Kent area.
Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation teams provide valuable services across East Kent and Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley localities. This is a skilled post with the expectation that you will utilise your specialised clinical knowledge to assess and treat patients with chronic respiratory conditions in a community setting. Your input into this service will allow patientsto improve their functional ability and breathlessness management to make a tangible difference to their quality of life. As a member of our team we will ensure that you have the opportunity to strengthen and develop your specialised respiratory skills. You will be an integral part of a team including a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners a Counsellor and supported by an admin team to deliver a high quality service.
You will play a key part in engagement with integrated accountable care organisations. The service is currently working with the commissioners in Kent and continues to deliver the service to serve the local population.
Main duties of the job
The service currently provides regular in-service training, clinical supervision, protected CPDtime, and input into local clinical interest groups. The service regularly participates in nationalaudits. The trust also encourages staff to develop and provide training opportunitiesinternally and externally as identified during the annual appraisal process. The Trust hasalso achieved Foundation Trust Status and rated as 'Good' by CQC. The service isaccredited by the Royal College of Physicians, being the first team in the area to achieve thisstatus.
It is essential that you are HCPC registered with proven experience and knowledge in arespiratory specialised field. We welcome applications from band 6 Physiotherapists lookingto specialise into chronic respiratory disease management where you will be supported todevelop your knowledge and skills. Driving or access to transport is also essential for thispost.
There is an option of flexible hours from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to a maximum of 37.5hours per week.
The service will offer flexibility in discussion to successful candidates for workinghours and location.
