Are you looking to join a highly motivated team? Are you committed to providing a safe, high standard of midwifery care? Do you strive to deliver memorable experiences whilst supporting women, birthing people and their families before, during and after pregnancy & childbirth?

King's College Hospital offers an opportunity for passionate and dedicated midwives to join our vibrant community teams on the PRUH site. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of working patterns.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting midwives with at least one year's experience to join the Sapphire Continuity team.

This is a small team of experienced midwives providing continuity of carer to a targeted caseload of vulnerable women and birthing people within the Bromley Borough.

Having a named midwife and continuity throughout pregnancy, labour and during the postnatal period has proven to improve outcomes and safety of women and babies, as well as to provide a more positive experience.

Within this Team you will be responsible for your own allocated caseload of women. Practitioners must be confident in working independently and autonomously. As a Team we are very supportive of each other and have scheduled meetings regularly, to review and reflect on our caseload and practice.

As a Team we work within a flexible model of care, meaning that you can have some choice over your working hours and days, with the ability to manage your own caseload independently. Labour care is provided as a team for all of our women, with a commitment of one night on-call and one long day on call per week, regardless of working hours.

We work within all clinical settings, therefore is it important that our midwives are confident in all areas of care for both low and high risk women.

All applicants must be able to drive, and also be able to respond to an on-call labour call within an hour of your home setting.
