Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or BABCP accredited CBT Therapist with NMC or HCPC registration
Location - Royal Surrey Foundation Trust, Guildford GU2 7XX. Will attend weekly team meetings in Leatherhead.
Due to the expansion of our service, we are delighted to offer this new post in collaboration with our partners at Royal Surrey Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychologist/CBT Therapist to join our small and friendly team of clinicians at Here for You to deliver individual psychological interventions on site to Royal Surrey staff.
Here for You is an NHS mental health and wellbeing initiative offering confidential staff support for staff within Surrey and Borders NHS Trust and partner organisations across Surrey, including Royal Surrey Foundation Trust
Applicants must be hold a professional registration with a regulated body (eg HCPC, NMC and/or BABCP accreditation).

- To offer individual psychological assessment and interventions to staff on-site at RSFT, face to face or virtually depending on the needs of the staff member.
- To undertake high quality triage, referring and/or signposting to other Third Sector, community resources, IAPT and Secondary Care Services as required
- To work collaboratively with other staff support services at RSFT including the wellbeing team and on-site counselling support from Talking Therapies Service.
- To support team managers/ Clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services

- To maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC/BABCP Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Trust Policies and Procedures.
- To deliver specialist evidence based psychological interventions as required and in line with BPS (British Psychological Society) / HCPC / NMC code of practice and NICE recommendations.
- To act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005).
- To be aware of and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures and legislation.
- To carry out comprehensive psychological assessments and formulation, plan implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions and consultations to support people with specific needs.
- To actively involve people in developing and agreeing their own plan of care, to act as an advocate and ensure that there is proper regard for their dignity, choice, self-esteem, racial, cultural, sexual and religious needs and preferences.
- To undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans.
- To establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with colleagues, other agencies and people who use the service.
- To contribute to conducting clinical audit, quality assurance and research, maintaining current knowledge of research findings and development relevant to the service
- To contribute to developing and providing a range of specialist teaching/training packages which can be delivered to a range of multi-disciplinary audiences.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols and care pathways.
- To contribute to initiatives to ensure that the diverse needs of people served by the service are addressed.
