An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Radiology Systems Specialist / Information Analyst to join the Radiology Systems Support Team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Based in the University Department of Radiology, the successful applicant will support the administration and management of all radiology systems including the Picture Archive & Communication System, Radiology Information System and EPR. In this role you will contribute to efficient day-to-day RIS/PACS service delivery, ensuring continuity of patient care and data integrity. The role also includes participation in the development and maintenance of RIS/PACS operational policies, provision of data support to Radiology IT projects and business cases, and responsibility for the completion of national data collection exercises.
To be considered for this role applicants must have strong RIS/PACS experience, proven knowledge of process driven IT systems in a clinical environment and must satisfy the essential criteria of the person specification.

Contributes to the development of Radiology systems strategy supports the Radiology Systems Manager in the evaluation, selection and procurement of new systems
In accordance with change control processes, executes approved technical changes to PACS infrastructure
Acts as a source of expertise with regard to PACS, RIS and associated systems is aware of current developments within own area of expertise
Advises the Radiology Systems Manager on system status and contributes to future system developments/renewal programmes
Undertakes project management activities as and when required, to support implementation of new systems and technical processes proposes improvements to workflow and system use
Supports the Radiology Systems Manager in the implementation and maintenance of changes to information systems, upgrades and interfaces within Radiology
