We have excellent opportunities for you to work in Community Nursing Services within the Blackburn with Darwen Locality.
Working as a member of the team, you will provide holistic, high quality, clinically effective care to patients, working under the guidance and support of the Team Leader and Team Manager. Our District Nursing teams are co-located with social work colleagues and the voluntary sector providing integrated neighbourhood working which supports person centred care.
We welcome enquires regarding the posts and informal visits can be arranged.
The services operates 365 days per year and the post will involve shift work to include weekends, evening, bank holidays and occasional night working.
Main duties of the job
District Nurses are highly skilled practitioners who carry out interventions which include:-
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills to provide a high standard of care to ensure a positive patient experience.
Experience in community care is an advantage however the post is also suitable for newly qualified nurses. We have an excellent preceptorship programme which all our newly qualified staff will follow.
All our staff are supported to develop within their role to meet the changing needs of the service and their own professional development goals.
Staff wellbeing is high on our locality health and wellbeing agenda, and staff have access to our Employee Assist Programme and receive regular clinical and professional supervision.
