We are looking to recruit a full time MDT Coordinator to our busy team, providing an efficient MDT Coordinator service for the Specialised Cardiology Service. Ideally you will have hospital experience. The main duties of the role will be to cover to provide comprehensive MDT coordination and pathway management and analysis to patients. This is supported by effective pathway monitoring and robust patient tracking list (PTL) management to provide the opportunity to mitigate pathways deviating from timed milestones. In collaboration with diagnostic and clinical services, this ensures a consistent and equitable access for patients and enables the Trust to achieve compliance with the national cancer waiting times performance standards. This role will manage band 4 assistant MDT Coordinators and support a growing team. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will also need to be flexible, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage workloads. Computer literacy would be desirable as you will be expected to input and extract information from the Patient Administrative System - Cerner Millennium (CRS).
Main duties of the job
The MDT co-ordinator's post is to provide dedicated administrative support to Specialised Cardiology Performance and multi-disciplinary teams (MDT), working together to provide high quality care for patients. The post holder will be expected to be proactive in seeking feedback from clinical colleagues and initiate changes to team working practices to adapt to the CAGs priorities and the clinical team's requirements.
Key working relationships are with patients & carers, GPs and members of the internal administrative team and clinical teams including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers. They will frequently liaise with a range of staff internally across the sites/Trust and with partner and external NHS Trusts.

To understand and communicate to clinical teams the Trusts annual Specialised Cardiology Waiting Times targets and be aware of the impact on the Trust, if targets are not met.

Ensure clinical teams are aware of all their Specialised Cardiologypatients and informing clinical staff and cancer managers of potential breach dates in patients pathways.
