INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
We are looking for a qualified nurse to work in our modern cardiac cath labs and also be available for 24/7 PPCI service.
Working with our friendly team on the Jim Shahi Unit we can offer you experience in a whole range of cardiology diagnostic and interventional procedures.
We have a 16-bed day ward and two cardiac catheter labs - procedures undertaken include coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty), implantable defibrillators, pacemakers and E.P. studies.
Full training will be given.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for undertaking and recording acomprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diverse group of patients.
Is expected to deliver care without direct supervision. Is accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care.
Is expected to teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non-registered nursing workforce.
Is accountable for care or any omissions of care that he/she delegates to others
Is expected to act as role model, delivering care with empathy andcompassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Is expected to go on the on call rota once fully trained scrub nurse.
