An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the South Manchester Community Respiratory Team. We are an established multidisciplinary team of nurses and physiotherapists delivering a range of specialist respiratory services across South Manchester led by respiratory consultant Dr Binita Kane. This role would suit someone looking to gain experience in a wide range of chronic respiratory diseases with a focus on COPD. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work both in the hospital and in the community providing acute home visits, pulmonary rehabilitation, COPD/asthma care bundles and home oxygen assessment. We run two sites of pulmonary rehabilitation currently working towards national accreditation and this service development will be part of the job role. The applicant will be involved in the delivery of the COPD virtual ward.
Applicants should have an interest and relevant post-qualification clinical experience in respiratory care. All applicants will have excellent communication skills and be able to work autonomously, seeking support as required.
