An opportunity has arisen for a Research Nurse / Practitioner to be a part of the Research & Development team. The team function is growing, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to contribute to this growth.
As a Research Nurse/Practitioner you will assist in the day to day co-ordination of the research studies conducted and work closely with the investigators, be responsible for data collection from medical records and databases, data management and will assist in the preparation of reports and publications.
You will be required to work collaboratively with the research team and wider multi-disciplinary teams in the identification, set up delivery and close down of research studies in line with regulation and statute. This will involve the identification, recruitment, education and monitoring of participants in research along with the timely collation and documentation of accurate data.You will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of scientific protocols and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
This role is full time working Monday to Friday across trust sites, part time applications would be considered with opportunities for flexible working.
Main duties of the job
You will assist in setting up trials, recruiting patients, co-ordinating data collection and arranging assessments and follow-up episodes specified by the protocol. Ensure that specified milestones are achieved on time and demonstrate that high quality data is being collected and that the trial is being conducted according to the ethically approved protocol and ICH-GCP standards.
You will maintain consistent contact with participants and professionals, to ensure the smooth running of Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) portfolio studies.
