An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, flexible and organised Faculty Facilitator in Medical Education Services.
The Medical Education Service is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a range of high quality and cost effective educational services within the Trust to specifications required by the General Medical Council (GMC), and standards set out by NHS Education Kent Surrey & Sussex in delivering and supporting education and training requirements and outcomes to trainees at Medway Maritime Hospital.
We are recruiting for a Medical Education Faculty Facilitator who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
This role encompasses the following main areas of responsibilities:-
Oversee management, co-ordination, facilitation and administration of the Local Faculty Groups (LFGs) for designated specialties including Trainee in Action (TIA) meetings
This role encompasses three main responsibilities:-
Co-ordinating, facilitating and administering the Local Faculty Groups (LFGs) and the Local Academic Board (LAB) Supporting the provision of specialty education programmes and induction processes Supporting the service delivery of the Medical Education team function
This position is part of a larger team function with hybrid working from home/office after initial induction and training needs into the post are complete.

The post holder will be expected to work, in conjunction with the Medical Education Team, in the development of policies, procedures and on specified projects within the department for the delivery of Education as set out in the NHSE KSS Education Contract.
The post holder will be required to liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external partners as part of the role will be to promote the facilities and resources of the Education Department.
The post holder will be expected to work, in conjunction with the Medical Education Team in supporting doctors in training to meet their training outcome requirements as well as support education governance which supports delivery of quality training. See full job description for more information

- Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience
- Certificate in Managing Healthcare Education or equivalent
- Evidence of a commitment to ongoing personal development
