We offer an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, dynamic and committed registered mental health nurses to work as part of Adult Secure Services at Oswin Medium Secure Personality Disorder Service at St Nicholas Hospital in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Please be aware the service is relocating to Northgate Hospital, Morpeth in the coming months. We have available staff nurse posts on Oswin MSU, an 11 bedded Medium Secure Ward which focuses on the recovery and rehabilitation of patients transferred from HMP.
Secure Care Services are part of Central Locality and are developing a number of exciting new services over the coming months that enables the continued growth in preparation for the CEDAR new build at Northgate hospital in Morpeth, Northumberland.
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses with excellent values to support adults in a busy Medium Secure Ward. You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well within a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment dealing with unpredictable situations whilst remaining focused on providing a person centred approach to care and treatment.
Main duties of the job
The service has a holistic, therapeutic approach which encourages engagement and co-production. There will be robust MDT process in place enabling the pathway to be person centred, focussing on hope and rehabilitation supporting patients to have a voice.
