We offer an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic urogynaecology team at Royal United Hospital in Bath.
We are looking for an experienced nurse practitioner in the field of urology or urogynaecology to work within out dedicated team in order to deliver and develop a gold standard service to our patients.
The successful applicant will have the freedom to develop their role with view to working as an autonomous practitioner, proactively managing a caseload of patients within urogynaecology as well as providing nurse led clinics. This will be within a friendly and supportive environment proudly maintained by the current urogynaecology team and the wider gynaecology department.
Help us achieve our future vision of service accreditation, nurse led ultrasound and treatment clinics, to provide the best level of service for our patients.
Main duties of the role:
Urogynaecology is a sub speciality of gynaecology. It covers services that provide care for patients with urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction. It will link with urology, colorectal and obstetrics through our multidisciplinary approach.
The purpose of this post is to provide a specialist nursing service that is autonomous and works alongside the existing dedicated staff. We can provide a supportive learning environment and development of clinical skills to provide a 'gold standard' level of care for our patients
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have already or will successfully complete the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) MSc Level Apprenticeship in line with the framework for advanced practice and their primary professional regulatory body. The post holder will be or will become a skilled, autonomous practitioner working as a core member of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to patients. They will be trained to possess the skills, competence, expertise and clinical decision-making abilities required to plan, co-ordinate and prescribe treatment for patients. This post will be vital to maintaining the 'British Society of Uro-gynaecology' database and instrumental in achieving accreditation of the Uro-gynaecology department as a 'Pelvic Floor Unit'. The post holder will fulfil the expectations and core capabilities of an ACP as set out in the Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England (HEE, 2017) the RUH Trust Framework for Advanced Practice and the Trust ACP Job Description. This means working in conjunction with the 4 pillars of advanced practice.
