The Capital Projects Team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Capital Projects Support Officer. You'll join our experienced Capital Projects Team in supporting delivery of our exciting and ambitious Capital Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity where you can help build the future of the NHS for the population of Somerset.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday. Flexible working is required with opportunities to work from home/remote working.
Main duties of the job
You'll work with colleagues across the team and the Trust, providing high quality, proactive and reliable project support. You'll have the satisfaction of being part of a team delivering major projects across the Trust with the knowledge that your work is having a positive impact on patient care.
The team supports projects to improve facilities in any of our acute, community or mental health services across Somerset. This includes the New Hospitals Programme and Surgical Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, creating state-of-the-art facilities offering patients safe, effective and personalised care. Within our community hospitals and mental health facilities there are numerous smaller schemes that support ongoing patient care and service developments along with major projects at Yeovil District Hospital.
We are looking for someone with sound administrative and/or project support experience, who is able to act proactively to effectively support a busy team. You will have strong organisational and prioritisation skills with clear, confident communication, underpinned by a proactive and can-do approach.

- A range of administrative and project tasks and activities.
- Meeting support - organising meetings, preparing and sending out supporting papers, taking and distributing accurate minutes and action logs.
- Diary management - supporting colleagues with calendar appointments, resolving diary clashes.
- Raising orders and and supporting colleagues with delivery and invoicing of project equipment, fees and other construction costs.

- Good level of general education, including English Language at GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications/training.

- Microsoft Word at RSA III or equivalent with accurate word processing skills to at least 50wpm
