The division has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to take up the role as a Deputy Associate Chief Nurse, working alongside the Associate Chief Nurse, other Deputy Associate Chief Nurses and wider divisional team, to deliver the divisional and organisational strategic aims and objectives. We want an individual who has proven experience of supporting and developing teams, to provide safe and outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job
- Providing professional leadership for all nurses
- Delivery of clinical and professional standards
- The development of leadership within nursing for the Care Group. This will be in line with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, resource controls and constraints, and will contribute to delivering the operational strategy for the Care Group and for the Trust as a whole.
- Working with the Heads of Nursing, Matrons, Lead Nurses, and Managers, the DACN will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the patient safety
- Providing professional advice on a range of complex nursing care and delivery issues alongside the Associate Chief Nurse
- Ensuring consistent delivery of the highest quality and professional nursing care across their area of responsibility
- Providing professional leadership within the Care Group and support development and delivery of the wider corporate strategic agenda with the Chief Nurse
- Managing the nursing workforce throughout the Care Group and through them delivery of patient care, the patient environment, infection prevention and control, patient experience and the patient and public involvement (PPI) agendas
- Advancement of nursing practice and development of roles within the trust
- Adherence to the NMC code of Practice
- Interpreting and implementing organisational policies
- Taking a lead on the governance agenda within the care group
