Stroke Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Stroke Unit team at Hillingdon Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to work on the Stroke Unit at Hillingdon Hospital. You will work within the multidisciplinary team all dedicated to providing a Specialist Stroke Service. You will be a key member in our friendly and dynamic integrated therapy teams and provide a skilled and responsive therapy service.

The post is based on the Stroke Unit at Hillingdon Hospital however you will work alongside the Neurological Rehabilitation Therapy Team, which provide specialist neuro rehabilitation to the Alderbourne Rehabiliation Unit and Daniels Rehabilitation Unit at The Hillingdon Hospital.

In our friendly and supportive environment, you will be encouraged to develop your clinical expertise, through regular training and clinical supervision. You will also have opportunities to develop your professional skills including service development, audit and supervision of junior staff and students.

We are looking for candidates with:
  • HCPC registration and relevant post qualification experience in a hospital based environment
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • An enthusiasm for professional and service development
  • Current manual driving licence


Main duties of the job

You also need to be hard working, adaptable and dynamic, with good communication skills, initiative and self-motivation. You will also participate in the on-call and weekend rotas supporting the inpatient acute services.

Hillingdon hospital is situated within walking distance of Brunel University Campus. There is easy tube and rail access to Central London and we are superbly situated for access to the motorway networks.
