The Hub Manager is operationally responsible for the management of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) Hub for Midlands and North West and the team working at the Hub. The hub is 1 of national hubs and the manager will work closely with the other hubs to deliver the contractual agreements. The manager will be responsible for working with local and national commissioners to deliver BCSP. The manager will collaborate and report to the BCSP Hub Director.

Job responsibilities
To lead and promote a quality and improvement agenda.
Participate as a member of the programme hub QA team monitoring the performance of the 5 programme hubs.
Lead the QA team for the screening centres associated with the programme hub.
To ensure effective communication systems are in place across the bowel cancer screening service including the programme hub and related screening centres.
Responsible for the effective implementation and ongoing use of the bowel cancer screening programme computer system within the programme hub.
Advise Bowel Cancer Screening System IT developers on the design and implementation of software developments acting as a senior user/pilot site for system testing. Attend and participate in national screening IT project board meetings, assessing and developing the IT system.
Lead responsibility for the compilation, analysis and interpretation of national, regional and local audit and performance data from the bowel cancer screening service, enabling informed decisions about the current and future delivery of the service to be made.

Main duties of the job
- To plan and implement the BCSP with local screening centres
- To manage a multi-disciplinary team
- To deliver key NHS BCSP objectives
- To lead and promote quality and improvements
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders
- Implement appropriate IT solution
- Responsible for preparing reports for local and national teams
- Has budgetary responsibility
- Provide an on-site consultancy service to other programme hubs in England.
- Participate in the production of written patient information for the National BCSP and Symptomatic FIT service.
