Working with both the Neonatal and Midwifery Leadership Teams, as well as linking with the MNR (Maternity and Neonatal Programme) Leads, the Neonatal and Maternity Directorate General Manager will provide operational and strategic leadership for the development of the Neonatal and Maternity Services across NUH. The Directorate General Manager will ensure that all operational performance targets including waiting lists, finance, workforce and service improvement targets are achieved. They will work with the Divisional Leadership Team and other Divisional and Specialty/Service Teams to ensure optimal performance, service integration and contribute to the development of services in their Division, the Trust, and where appropriate the wider Nottinghamshire health and social care system.

Within the Neonatal and Maternity Services leadership teams, foster a culture that promotes openness and enables people to have the confidence to speak up and ensure that there are clear and effective communication mechanisms in the directorate.
Foster a climate of innovation and improvement for all Neonatal adn Maternity Services including fostering and developing close links with the Children's Hospital service.
Deputise for the Divisional General Manager and Divisional Leadership Team when necessary.
