There is a Band 5 Staff Nurse vacancy in Conquest Pre Assessment Clinic. It is a busy department with assessing patients fitness for their up coming surgery. There are new changes coming in Pe Assessment and we are networking at National level to improve the patients journey for surgery. We are bringing in digital systems. Come join us. We are a friendly supportive team. You don't need to have done pre op before as pre op covers a wide range of knowledge and skills.

Main duties of the job

Daily assessment of patients current and past medical health and previous anaesthetic history to ascertain fitness for proposed procedure or operation. Take an accurate and detailed up to date list of medication and inform patients of any stoppage of medication as per Pre-Assessment guidance. Be able to act on any abnormal history and results.
