This West Berkshire based role would be ideal for an enthusiastic & dedicated psychologist looking to progress their clinical and leadership skills within an important new area of service transformation. Join us in a new role as a valued member of MHICS (Mental Health Integrated Community Service) providing psychological expertise, supervision of junior psychological staff & consultation, teaching and joint working with multi-professional teams & colleagues. There are also opportunities for working across both MHICS and the Integrated Psychological Therapies team in West Berkshire Community Mental Health Team delivering evidence-based therapies for people with significant mental health problems.
You will be well supported & supervised by a Principal & Consultant Psychologist & will work within a dynamic, people-centred environment, where you will be able to shape and improve provision for patients with complex conditions.
We will also consider applicants gaining experience in community adult mental health services working at Band 7 level who wish to progress to an 8a post within a developmental role where you will be supported via a preceptorship process.
Your base for this role will be in West Berkshire with opportunities for some service delivery to be online from home.

Main duties of the job
- To provide clinical input in the development and systematic provision of high quality, accessible and non-stigmatising mental health services within the local primary care network.
- To participate in the implementation and development of system-wide mental health services that will contribute to improved experience for people with serious mental health problems in primary care.
- To provide clinical support for the provision of evidence based psychological practices to enable people presenting with serious mental health problems to actively participate in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs.
- To provide, supervise and support specialist psychological assessment and treatment, formulation and consultation to clients and staff within the clinical team and system to which the post-holder is attached, across all sectors of care.

- Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical/counselling psychology (or equivalent)
- Registered and accredited with Health Care & Professions Council (HCPC)
- At least two years demonstrable post-qualification experience and interest of working in multidisciplinary teams / multi-agency environment as well as experience of teaching / training of health care professionals
- Evidenced post qualification training and expert knowledge in areas of specialism and the ability to use knowledge when interacting on health and social care subjects.

- Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical/counselling psychology (or equivalent)
- Registered and accredited with Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC)
- Eligible for graduate membership of BPS (British Psychology Society) and for Chartered Psychology status and membership of the Division of Clinical or Counselling Psychology as a result of training in models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology and at least 2 psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
