We are currently recruiting dynamic and motivated Band 5 Nurses to join our Cardiac & Respiratory Medicine department at the Royal London Hospital.
Bart's Health is an internationally recognised leading respiratory centre of excellence and is home to the Barts Health Difficult Asthma service, offering nurses the unique opportunity to work across variety of clinical specialties to advance their professional development.
Our Specialist Cardiac & Respiratory ward offers unique opportunities to develop skills & experience in caring for patients with a tracheostomy and non-invasive ventilators (NIV), as well as caring for patients on cardiac monitors and telemetries. Experience on this ward provides palatable skills and further opportunities for development in cardiology and respiratory nursing.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be committed to delivering safe and compassionate care. We welcome new ideas and strive to constantly improve our delivery of care to patients.
Newly qualified nurses seeking acute medical experience are welcome to apply, as well as more experienced nurses wishing to consolidate previous experience and contribute positively to our nursing establishment.

Facilitates Preceptorship and mentorship and provides Preceptorship andmentorship to members of the nursing team as appropriate. Participates in team meetings so fair and equal opportunities are given to share knowledge and ideas with colleagues. Participates in the appraisal process of others as part of their individual development Acts as a role model to others in the team, Demonstrates specialist skills and knowledge in their own area of clinical practice Improves clinical practice through reflection with self or others. (Clinicalsupervision/Action Learning) With the support of sister/charge nurse through the Trusts appraisal process and development of personal development plan identifies their educational and professional needs. Influence the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice. The post holder is expected to develop their clinical skills and others with the help of the manager.
