We are currently advertising for a one-year Clinical Research Fellow in Epilepsy at King's College Hospital, London. This is aimed at a neurology or neurophysiology SpR with an interest in epilepsy.
Main duties of the job
The primary role of the fellow is to conduct two related retrospective and prospective audits: a) of the use of CBD oil in the treatment of patients with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome in patients treated in our centre and b) assessing the electroclinical features of adult cases with LGS and evaluate these in relation to published diagnostic criteria in children.

The fellowship is supported by the pharmaceutical industry but is investigator-led.The fellow will gain unique experience in this field as well as the wider clinical management of complex epilepsy patients in a tertiary centre and be able to develop an interest in the interpretation of EEGs and video-EEG telemetry. The fellow will also gain experience in the assessment of quality of life in patients with intellectual disability and epilepsy. The fellow will be based in the neurology and neurophysiology departments and will attend outpatient clinics as well as regular R& D and MDT meetings in epilepsy and neurophysiology.
