We are looking for an exceptional programme manager to work with us on delivery of our ambitious patient flow improvement plans. This is a varied role, combining high levels of engagement with clinicians, information and operational teams and senior leaders at the Trust.

The successful applicant should have a proven track record of programme management and delivery, taking a pro-active approach to manage the best outcomes for our patients. They will have experience of working in a programme/project environment and be able to demonstrate leadership and innovation in their approach to delivery. A working knowledge of NHS services combined with a creative and adaptable mindset will be key to success along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage and motivate others to ensure deadlines and targets are met.

This is a full time post but flexible working can be considered for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the development, implementation and delivery of our elective recovery plan and a range of other improvement and transformation initiatives in line with national planning priorities.

Job description

Job responsibilities

They will ensure rigorous project governance and documentation management across the elective programme, developing, facilitating and monitoring a broad and complex portfolio of projects.

The post holder will establish effective progress, monitoring and control processes to facilitate delivery within agreed timescales, establishing a framework of regular evaluation to ensure full oversight.

They will support and develop the identification of clear goals, objectives and measures for the programme and will be responsible for resolving any issues preventing progress.

They will build close relationships with key stakeholders, working across divisional boundaries to drive projects forward, using effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure success.

The postholder will use complex data sets to assess performance and to assist in the delivery of the programme, providing highlight reports as required.
