An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Depot and Clozapine Clinic within Hereford City. You will be part of a smaller clinic team while working within the Hereford City Neighbourhood Team.
The role will be working with the Team Manager to lead the depot/clozapine clinic and the administration and supervision of long acting injections. Within the Clozapine, Depot and Physical health clinics you will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical records and data collection is recorded and collected by the team. You will also be responsible in ensuring that the needs of those with a mental health diagnosis are met.
The role will include the supervision of staff as well as providing a learning opportunity for junior staff and students.
The team works within a multi-disciplinary service and the role will be varied and will offer opportunities to work with service users suffering from a range of serious mental illnesses and dual diagnoses.

Main duties of the job To provide a comprehensive, accessible and responsive mental health services to adults within the local area.To deliver physical health interventions to patients under the service inclusive of phlebotomy.To lead in the daily management of a depot/clozapine clinic.To administer long acting injections and facilitate clozapine monitoring.To ensure a roster system is in place for the clinicsTo continually develop clinical, team and service evaluation and delivery of the service.To ensure that Outcome measures are collected to inform improvements. The post holder will be clinically responsible for leading the delivery of a flexible, responsive local service within a Neighbourhood.
The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues, key partners and those within the local community to develop services to meet the mental health needs of the community. The post holder will communicate with people with a range of mental health needs, to provide and receive complex, sensitive information to people where there are barriers to understanding.
The post holder will employ a wide range of skills, building on and developing their expertise and actively seeking advice and collaboration with the Team Manager where issues which may not be readily resolved. As a registered practitioner you are professionally and legally accountable under the NMC code of professional practice
The post holder will utilise best evidence in order to analyse and to undertake a core mental health assessment, Formulate, Plan, implement and evaluate care.
The post holder will ensure that the physical health needs of individuals on their caseload are screened, monitored and appropriately responded to.
