An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Psychodynamic Psychotherapist/Art Psychotherapist Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Berkshire CAMHS East Specialist Community Team. You will be joining a supportive and highly experienced multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to offer therapeutic provision to young people with severe and enduring mental health problems, and their families. You will join a supportive network of arts therapists/mental health practitioners across Berkshire, with ample opportunity to develop your own knowledge and skills. We are a reflective team, with an emphasis on team formulation.

- Effective and competent interpersonal, influencing, communication, observation and reporting skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to analyse situations and be able to make the right decisions
- Able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others as well as being able to cope with distressing circumstances
- Ability to work effectively in a team, work on own initiative, work unsupervised and manage own workload
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding child development and the impact it can have on meeting the five Every Child Matters outcomes The Children's Act 1989 and 2004 and The Mental Health Act 1983 and 2007
- Ability to manage clinical risk and understanding of child safeguarding procedures
- Ability to cope in a pressurised environment and apply practical problem solving skills in everyday situations
- Ability to be self-reflective and use supervision effectively
- Competent IT skills and the ability to navigate around various systems and software packages (such as RiO, outlook, databases, MS office and the internet). Good keyboard skills.
