The Complex needs team substance use services are looking to recruit a team manager due to service expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to join our expanding team, working across Harbour and the Plymouth Alliance, to provide specialist support for people experiencing co existing mental health and substance misuse issues.
The Dame Carol Black report has seen an investment in substance misuse services, therefore the complex needs team are expanding the service, more so than ever now is an exciting time to work in substance use services for Livewell. The post holder will be actively involved in the service development, supporting the team to provide high quality evidence based care for our clients.
The Complex needs team work across the Plymouth alliance alongside our Harbour colleagues, providing specialist prescribing services, community detox services and care coordination and support. The team is made up of Community mental health nurses, doctors, social workers, support workers, non-medical prescribers and senior drug workers. Working across a number of settings such as Harbour, the homeless hostels and clients homes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the team with support from the service manager.
The post holder will ensure key performance indicators are met, such as staff appraisals, and training.
To be responsible for the associated budget
To allocate and prioritise work
To ensure a high standard of evidence based care is delivered
To drive trauma informed practice

The post holder will work alongside the clinical lead and service manager.
The postholder will manage a designated Complex needs Team (CMHT) and its associated budget.
To be responsible for the management of patients.
To be responsible for supervision and effective management of the capacity of the team.
To provide leadership to the Locality Team, to be responsible by monitoring implementation and evaluating programmes of care.
To maintain close links with other agencies, to work flexibly to provide the provision of a service for patients
