Specialist Health Practitioner for Multi- Agency Safeguarding - Band 7 - Richmond
If you are ready for a Specialist Health Practitioner role for Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within an Integrated Public Health Nursing Service, we would like to hear from you.
A vacancy has arisen for a part time hours (18.45 hours) in the Richmond MASH Hub 0-19 integrated service.
In order to be eligible for this post, applicants must be a qualifiedSpecialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
Richmond 0-19 team is an innovative, forward thinking and making a difference to the lives of families, children and young people in the borough. You will be required to search and collate relevant and proportionate health information from a range of NHS providers both locally and nationally in line with MASH procedures. The MASH has been designed to facilitate information gathering and sharing within a fire-walled environment as per the pan-London information sharing agreements.
Main duties of the job

You will be of support for members of the team, bring insight and provide expertise to child safeguarding that cannot be provided by other partners and attend meetings as and when required and feedback to the Locality Leads and Clinical Service Unit Manager (CSU).
We work very closely with our partner agencies to enrich the mix of skills available and strengthen our position as a service provider. Working within the MASH with other professionals.
You need to have a passion for working with children, young people and families and have a comprehensive understanding of the PublicHealthAgenda in Richmond. It is essential that you also have a thorough knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme (0-19), safeguarding and Central London Community Healthcare Values.

Work in collaboration with local statutory and mainstream services to identify, seek and collate the relevant health information to add to the multi-agency risk assessment to ensure that families are safe and referred and signposted appropriately following MASH assessment. To inform the case management, advising where necessary and challenging decisions when
Facilitate and provide professional expertise to other professionals and agencies on safeguarding matters related to health
Following initial MASH assessment, provide feedback to health relevant professionals involved within the family including the Named Nurse and/or Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children where appropriate, for sharing best practice
Maintain professional clinical practice in line with NMC recommendations and guidelines.
Be aware of and act in accordance with CLCHs clinical standards.
Maintain contemporaneous records in line with the NMC and CLCH guidelines
