Aneurin Bevan University Health Board maternity services is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed midwife to join their team. This role is essential to support and improve women and birthing peoples experience of maternity care. Having excellent written and communication skills, as well as organisation and time management skills you will be expected to ensure effective management, response and learning in relation to maternity concerns You will be required to provide a compassionate response to women and their families when concerns are raised regarding care. Whilst the majority of care receive is perceived positively, women who do not perceive their care positively, require an empathetic and timely response to any concerns raised. The successful candidate will be required to respond to both informal and formal concerns through excellence in complaints response letters.The candidate will be expected to work closely with the senior midwifery management team, the governance lead midwife, the general manager and Head of Midwifery to ensure there is an integrated approach to concerns raised. Identifying themes and ensuring that feedback and learning is disseminated across maternity services will be an integral part of the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
