Saint Mary's Emergency Gynaecology Unit are wishing to expand their team of talented EGU Specialist Band 6 Nurses.
The EGU department is located on the Wythenshawe site.
The dynamic team are looking to recruit additional band 6 specialist skilled Gynaecology nurses to complement their existing workforce.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have completed the Emergency Gynaecology course or be competent in :
assessing patients presenting with early pregnancy complications and/or acute gynaecological conditions.
examining patients with early pregnancy complications
interpreting results and planning care for patients presenting with early pregnancy complications
The EGU is a 24-hour service and this role includes days, nights and weekend work.

- First level registration - RGN Adult
- Evidence of CPD in relevant speciality
- Evidence of level 6 studies
- Plan to gain relevant teaching qualification
- Has completed the Emergency Gynae Course and been signed off for all associated competencies or equivalent experience
- Able to supervise preregistration students and junior staff in line with NMC standards
Desirable
- Appropriate management/leadership course
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Qualified to function as a preceptor for newly qualified or staff who are new to the department
