This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, flexible and highly motivated Podiatrist to join our Musculoskeletal Podiatry Team in Northenden.
This post requires a podiatrist who can demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in the management of individuals with lower limb musculoskeletal/biomechanical pathology in both adults and children
The post holder will be able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the mainstream podiatry service and as part of the Community MSK Service, developing the MSK pathways for podiatry services in line with best practice and clinical governance.
The post holder will be responsible for day to day provision, operational management and leadership, across the mainstream Podiatry biomechanics and MSK Podiatry service
You will need to hold a degree or diploma in Podiatry, a portfolio of evidence of on-going CPD and be registered with the HCPC.
Main duties of the job
This post requires a podiatrist who can demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in the management of individuals with lower limb musculoskeletal/biomechanical pathology in both adults and children
The post holder will be able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the mainstream podiatry service and as part of the Community MSK Service, this also includes a service level agreement working as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, developing the MSK pathways for podiatry services in line with best practice and clinical governance.
The post holder will be responsible for day to day provision, triage, operational management and leadership, across the mainstream Podiatry biomechanics and MSK Podiatry service
To manage a significant clinical case load of patients and have demonstrable skills to implement, evaluate and modify highly complex care and interventions.

- Postgraduate study appropriate for delivering advanced practice

Experience

- Evidence of extensive relevant experience and clinical practice in MSK Podiatry.
- Evidence of MDT working
- Experience in delivering audit
- Experience in delivering training to staff on complex matters.

- Extensive clinical experience at an advanced level in area of speciality

- Ability to carry out and analyse and interpret results of various specialist assessments within scope of practice

- A high level of knowledge of current national and local strategies, clinical guidelines and legislation relating to the delivery of podiatry and advanced podiatry practice.
