Somerset Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a qualified practitioner to work alongside our Social Care and Police colleagues involved in the triage of referrals, requests for MASH and Strategy discussions as part of a multi-agency safeguarding team.
The post is 37.5 hours and based at Bridgwater Police Centre Monday - Friday , the role is responsible for the continuous improvement of safeguarding processes within the Somerset Safeguarding System from a Health System perspective, supporting Somerset Foundation Trust, the Integrated Care Board and Public Health Nursing.
Main duties of the job
The primary focus of this role is to participate in children MASH and Strategy Discussions, providing sufficient detail and research to inform safeguarding decision making. You will work collegiately alongside a range of Social Care, Police and Health colleagues from both Acute, Public and Primary services.

You will need to be able to record clear actions and planning across a number of electronic systems ensuring professional accountability, clear recording whilst working collaboratively alongside Police and Social Care Colleagues.
Somerset Foundation Trusts Safeguarding Service, currently comprises of Qualified Nurses, Health Visitors, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Workers, Teachers and Midwives.
The position will require sound knowledge and experience in working within a safeguarding arena relating to adults or children.
