We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who wants to continue to work as part of a dynamic in patient Stroke Rehabilitation Team. This role will include providing assessment and treatment for stroke patients at Trafford General Hospital and some in reach work to Wythenshawe Hospital.This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking team to work together to enhance our service we have recently appointed an AHP Consultant with a focus on research and innovation.
Main duties of the job
You will be working in our multi professional team which is led by highly specialist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. You will demonstrate a holistic approach to patient care, joint therapy working and service development. You will use your specialist stroke assessment, treatment, and discharge planning skills to ensure our patients have the best possible outcomes.
There will be lots of opportunities for you to contribute to service improvement and support your development through in service training and accessing opportunities for learning through Greater Manchester Neurorehabilitation and Integrated Stroke Delivery Network.
You will have the opportunity to support students, Band 5 staff and Rehabilitation Assistants.
You will be expected to contribute to our weekend working service.

Essential
- Recognised BSC Honours degree in occupational therapy or equivalent
- State registration via Health and Care Professions Council
- Evidence of relevant post graduate training including attendance at relevant specialist courses
Desirable
- Involvement in special interest group
- Registered member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy
Knowledge and experience

- Postgraduate clinical experience as a junior in a broad rotational post
- Specialist knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatment technique
