INTERNAL TO HULL UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS TRUST AND NORTHERN LINCOLNSHIRE AND GOOLE FOUNDATION TRUST EMPLOYEES ONLY
As a Business Manager within Medicine you will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of services
You will be a dynamic and innovative individual driven by excellence. You will complement the existing team, embracing engagement, continuous improvement and lead by example with a values based approach.
You will be a visible, accessible and strong leader, role modeling the behaviors and high standards that you expect of others with a strong understanding of all aspects surrounding RTT.
You will be keen to develop both yourself and the service for the benefit of patients, and be expected to reflect the Trust's vision and values, contributing to the Divisional, Health Group and corporate Trust agendas.
The successful candidate will be required to partake in the MHG Patient Flow Rota Monday to Fridays as rostered.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective clinical services within the Directorate/specialties, ensuring that all targets, deadlines and objectives are delivered as appropriate, achieving the performance and patient access targets for their specialities.
They will provide appropriate managerial leadership to ensure the effective functioning of the specialities. They will be responsible for the effective management of human resource, financial resource, clinical governance and business planning arrangements.
The post holder will contribute to the strategic development of services within the service, and to the bed management rota.

The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
