A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic Band 6 Midwife to join our team within the Day Assessment Unit at Colchester Hospital.
You will be expected to provide the full remit of midwifery care within the hospital setting as well as providing specific care for pregnant women within the day assessment unit this will include full assessment and escalation to registrar where necessary.
Main duties of the job
You will work in a variety of settings, which will include all antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal and community services, maintaining skills in all aspects of midwifery care. This is a post working within Day Assessment Unit and Triage scope of care it may however require shifts based rotationally on all areas of maternity care.
You will be the designated person to take charge of the telephone calls which are received via the triage telephone line.
