You will be reporting to the SAFE centre Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the UKAS accreditation process and the ongoing maintenance, once achieved.
You will lead on providing specialist support to ensure the SAFE Centre achieves and maintains accreditation to the relevant Quality Standards set by the Forensic Science regulator. You will develop and manage a Quality Management System.
You will be responsible for ensuring policies, practices and procedures meet the requirements of the relevant Quality standards and disseminate to the team to ensure ongoing compliance and achievement of accreditation
Main duties of the job
You will take responsibility as a Quality lead for the SARC, providing expertise on all matters appertaining to quality and accreditation systems.
You will lead on the implementation of a quality management system and roll out training for all staff on how to use it
You will lead on the implementation and maintenance of the staff DNA database
You will lead on the internal and external audits required within the Trust, for the UKAS accreditation and for NHS England's yearly quality schedule
You will perform Quality Assurance of audit reports, provide feedback to the team. Monitor audit findings, negotiate resolutions with the team and ensure findings are resolved in a timely manner. Analyse root causes and corrective actions taken.
You will ensure environment is safe and compliant with standards for UKAS accreditation
You will assist with the smooth running of the Centre and to deputise in the absence of the manager, when required
