North London Partners Shared Services (NLPSS) is pleased to offer an experienced Occupational Health (OH) Nurse Advisor the opportunity to join the Occupational Health & Wellbeing team working with our clients in the north of London.
Our busy clinic provide onsite OH services at client premises and the nature of this peripatetic role is such that successful candidates will predominantly be based at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, and may be required to rotate to other sites as required, to ensure consistency of the NLPSS Occupational Health service to all our clients.
We are looking for enthusiastic persons to work as part of the NLPSS Occupational Health Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which is an interesting and varied team.
You will need to be a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) and ideally on Part 3 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register, with a valid NMC Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Our services operate 8am to 5pm, five days a week. If you meet the required person specification criteria and have the appropriate clinical skills, together with commitment, energy, and experience we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide the full remit of OH duties and the ideal candidates will possess previous experience and knowledge of working in a variety of OH settings delivering the provision of professional OH advice to clients on issues affecting work, rehabilitation & resettlement into work.
You will be providing advice and support to managers and staff, through the identification of health risks arising from work activity and issues at work that affect health and wellbeing.

Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Qualification, Experience Education & Training: Diploma or higher in Nursing, OH nursing certification (e.g., Bachelor's degree or higher), relevant specialised training
- 2 years or more experience at Band 6
- Clinical competency in assessments e.g., injury assessment, health surveillance, workplace hazard evaluation
Desirable
- Previous experience in assisting ill employees with return-to-work, collaboration and teamwork, data management and reporting
