The Surgical division at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust has never been a more exciting place to work for enthusiastic professional nurses passionate about high quality ophthalmic patient care.Within our extensive ophthalmology service we see and treat a range of ocular conditions based at the Royal stoke hospital also covering County hospital for both Adult and Paediatric outpatients managing a whole host of ophthalmology specialist services such as urgent eye care intra-ocular treatment and diagnostic hubs including support for the pre-operative assessment service, day surgery and inpatient surgery.
We now have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within the ophthalmic team for an experienced Band 7 CNS within a special interest in Emergency Eye Care to join us at the University Hospital of North Midlands.This is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in developing a new position of CNS in Ophthalmology within the emergency eye clinic at UHNM.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the Ophthalmology team within the Emergency Eye Department and should be able to demonstrate experience in Ophthalmology.Main duties of the jobPlease see JD/PS for more information They will work collaboratively with the clinicians, medical, nursing staff and primary care colleagues to ensure an effective and high quality service is provided to all of the patients undergoing treatment within the Emergency Eye Clinic. They will have a role in the development of ophthalmology services within the Trust ensuring this relates to the needs of patients and is in-line with strategic, operational and National objectives About us

- Registered nurse on the NMC register
- Degree in nursing or health / nursing related studies or evidence of continuing academic progression in combination with equivalent qualification.
- IRMER certificate
