About the role and Ward:
An opportunity has arisen for band 5 RMN to join our team at Spring Ward, Female Forensic Medium Secure Ward working within the Forensic Psychiatry in River House. Spring Ward specialises in the assessment and comprehensive treatment of people with a broad spectrum of acute and enduring mental health needs. We provide care and treatment to inpatients that are experiencing mental illness. Our aim is to manage and reduce the risks associated with acute episodes of mental illness through evidence-based assessment and treatment, and psychosocial interventions for individuals and their families.
We accept admissions from prison and high security. Service users receive treatment and support to enable them to move on to rehabilitation wards, to lower levels of security or directly to the community. Average length of stay on the ward is approximately 6 months. The unit benefits from having experienced Consultants, Specialty doctors, dedicated Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, nurses and Social Workers.
In keeping with our obligations under the new Coronavirus Regulations 2021 in relation to Care Home visits, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of full vaccination status against Covid-197
