Salford District Nursing Service has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse with the Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing.
The post is 37.5 hours over seven days.
The service is very forward thinking and embraces high quality patient care and as such we are looking for an individual who would like to be part of this development.
You will receive a dedicated induction programme and a full training and development plan.
You will have access to a car and have a full UK driving licence.
Main duties of the job
You will work under the direction of the team leader. You will have strong leadership and excellent clinical skills as you will be expected to manage and advise the team (qualified and unqualified) in the absence the team leader. You will be motivated to support staff development and to manage change positively within the team.
Communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role as you will often be required to chair team safety huddles, attend multi professional meetings, discharge planning meetings etc. and to feedback to the team to ensure seamless patient care.
You will work within the multidisciplinary team and be able to build on the existing integrated working with health and social care and neighbourhoods.
