To develop and deliver the health and wellbeing of all our staff, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and credible Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager to work closely with our Deputy Director and Director of Workforce.
As a high performing, vibrant and clinically-led organisation, this is an exciting role that combines strategic leadership and operational management for the provision of a comprehensive and high quality occupational health service to the Trust as well as collaboration with the wider health community across South West London.
We are looking for an experienced Manager with a clinical (Nurse) background who has a strong and demonstrable track record of achievement in the NHS. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an expert OH practitioner with experience of leading policy and practice changes to meet evolving service requirements, have a track record of delivering against agreed objectives, a team player with a positive 'can do attitude' and have a creative approach to problem-solving within a complex environment. This role requires excellent leadership skills in developing and nurturing the team.
Based at Chelsea, London (and must be able to work cross-site at Sutton and travel to meet external contract holders as required)

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager will lead the OHW team to develop a comprehensive and high quality service to the Trust and other external contracts. The service is nurse-led and the postholder will work closely with the Consultant Occupational Physician to ensure that services provided reflect creative, innovative and evidenced-based occupational health practice and are responsive to the changing needs of the organisation.
The postholder will provide clinical leadership, effective clinical governance and development of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing service. The role will involve leading service provision to consistently deliver against the department's objectives/ Trust priorities, staff management, operational business planning, marketing and promotion of the service internally and to external contract holders.

- Provide leadership and line management support to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team, in partnership with Consultant Occupational Physician.
- Lead the development of OHW protocols and policies to reflect creative, innovative and evidence-based occupational health practice.
- Contribute to the development or refresh of the workforce strategy, and ensure that this adequately reflects health and wellbeing priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of service delivery, ensuring there are clear KPIs for the OHW department and external contracts.
- Lead on initiation of health and wellbeing activities to support the engagement with our staff, improving wellbeing and maintaining attendance at work.
- In collaboration with the Chief Nurse, HR and Infection Control, ensure that there is a robust approach to the annual flu campaign, and meeting health and wellbeing CQIN targets set by commissioners.
- Participate, when required, in all aspects of the clinical occupational health remit, to ensure comprehensive knowledge and application of service standards. This includes, but is not limited to, health screening, health surveillance, and immunisation and risk assessment.
