An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a CQC 'Outstanding' Children and Young People's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.

A thorough induction & trainingpackage is being developed to support new staff within team.

Through robust supervision and training opportunities we will aim to develop your knowledge, skills and experience within a CAMHS Service.

The post holder will work in the CAMHS Urgent Care Pathway, specifically our Liaison Team, offering in-reach assessments to children & young people present within Royal Derby Hospital where there are concerns regarding their mental health.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work with children & young people in assessing and treating their mental health difficulties in response to a crisis presentation at Royal Derby Hospital. Safe discharge care plans and safety assessments being the priority.

The post holder will act as a role model to assist in the embedding of outcome measures (ROM) and outcome orientated practice in the team.

The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary pathway team (MDT) for children and young people who present with severe mental illness, acute and complex presentations. This will include those with mental health concerns who have traditionally found it difficult to access service (ie looked-after children, young offenders, young people with alcohol and substance issues).

In accordance with national and local priorities and clinical guidelines the post holder will be responsive to the needs and views of local children, young people and their families.

We are looking for a suitably experienced qualified practitioner who will improve children and young peoples mental health through providing highly specialist clinical assessment and care planning.

This will include working as part of multi-disciplinary team.

As a CYP IAPT Service we endeavour to offer an accessible, evidence-basedservice to children and young people, that delivers the right intervention at the right time.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with post registration experience to join our multi-disciplinary team.

We welcome applicants wishing to work full or part time.

Our service works 8am-11pm, 7 days per week, which the post holder would be expected to contribute to. Shift types are 8am-5pm and 2pm-11pm.

A night time on call rota will be established in the future.
