Responsible for professional and practice development within the care home sector across the east area in relation to OPMH and general nursing homes.
responsible for providing professional support and clinical leadership for nurses working in primary , community and the independent sector .
to lead promote and facilitate practice development in line with service developments and clinical governance priorities of the LHB as well as national strategies such as National service frameworks.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity to appoint a Mental Health Practice Development Nurse to support our East Continuing Health Care Team for older persons. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring quality, safe, effective and well governed BCUHB funded care within these commissioned services. A background in Dementia care so as to ensure we can meet the needs of our funded service user cohort within this area of specialty. The role will require them to train as a Dementia Care Mapper to be able to deliver the quality assessments in line with the lived experiences of the service user and drive and improve quality from that perspective.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
